The Department of Pharmacology supports dental and medical education through structured academic teaching, clinical orientation, patient care exposure and research-focused learning. The department encourages disciplined study, practical understanding and professional values among students.
The subject of Pharmacology deals with the detailed study of drugs. This subject is taught in II year BDS . Along with this, the principle of Pharmacotherapeutics is also taught. The students are also involved in research projects. The goal of teaching Pharmacology to BDS students is to inculcate rational and scientific basis of therapeutics in view of dental patients.

The department of Pharmacology was established in 2006 although the commencement of classes took place in 2007 during the IInd year of BDS .The department conducts theory and practical classes for BDS and MDS students.
The department has the facilities and infrastructure as per the guidelines of Maharashtra University Of Health Sciences and Dental Council Of India.
