Public Health Dentistry forms the basis of dental health care services and holds the key for developing awareness about the social aspects of the profession and the responsibilities towards the community among all those who are engaged in this profession. The subject aims at making the masses aware about the importance of oral health and prevention of oral diseases as well as providing an accessible, affordable & sustainable oral health care especially to the disadvantaged, remote populations.

I consider myself lucky to have been a witness to the remarkable growth of this college from 2008, when I joined this institute, to the present grand stature. The college has made an iconic struggle towards reaching greater heights adn so has our department, which started with a small setup of 3 chairs to the present stature of 12 chairs & a fully functional, well-equipped Mobile Dental Unit with two dental chairs as also the two peripheral dental centers.
